Day 1: Casablanca – Beni Mellal – Ouzoud waterfalls

The “10 Days Casablanca 4×4 Sahara desert tour” starts from Casablanca. Today, we will explore Casablanca’s main attractions including Diab beach, Hassan II mosque, and Habous. Then we head to Beni Mellal and Ouzoud to visit the highest waterfall in Morocco. High of about 110 meters, its water bounce on several levels. We will explore waterfalls, you may like hiking in this area. Dinner and overnight will be in Ouzoud.

 

 

 


 

Day 2: Ouzoud – Imilchil

On the 2nd day of our Morocco tour, you will have an opportunity to enjoy the magnificent journey through the canyons and mountains of the Atlas Mountains. We cross Tizi N’isly and we descend towards Imilchil. The Berber village is suspended on the heights of the Atlas Mountains with its two lakes, Isli (the groom) and Tislit (bride). The legend says that these two lakes were born of the tears of two lovers from rival tribes who refused their marriage. There is an annual festival here, and it is an opportunity for the Berber tribe Ait Haddidou to meet their future husband. Finally, the Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel.

 

 


 

Day 3: Imilchil– Todra Gorges

Drive from Imilchil to Todra via Agoudal and Tamtatouche taking the sights of scenic views and Berber villages. We arrive in the Todra Gorges whose cliffs reach 250 m high; you can have a walk to high cliff gorges. The lunch will be at a local restaurant. Afterward, you can have a visit to Berber houses near the gorge. In addition, you will have a walk along the river. The dinner and night will be in a hotel in Todra Gorge.

 

 


 

Day 4: Todra Gorges– Tamtatousht – Msemrir – Kelaat M’gouna – Dades gorges

After breakfast, we start our private Morocco tour from Todra Gorges. We reach Tamtatouche and after, we arrive at the Dades gorges by M’Semrir and follow a staircase that rises to 2800 m. Descent from gorges in a magnificent setting in the kasbah ruins located on rocky peaks makes it even more spectacular. We go through a succession of villages along the river until we get to an inn homestay where we will spend the night (an opportunity to get an idea of the culinary customs and traditions of the Berber. The overnight will be at a local Riad in Dades Gorges

 

 


 

Day 5: Dades gorges – Tizi N’tzazert– Nkoub – Zagora

The tour starts Today along the valley of the figs to the center of Boumalene Dades. You take the track via Tizi n’Tazazert pass. We arrive at NKob where we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After, we continue to Tansikht to take the track along the Draa Valley and its vast date palms. We pass through the Draa valley until Zagora. The dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel in Zagora.

 

 

 

 


 

Day 6: Zagora– Tamegroute – Mhamid

The departure for Mhamid & will have a stop in Tamegroute to visit the Koranic library created in the 17th century. The Kasbah preserved illuminated manuscripts of the Koran written on gazelle skin and history books & medicine. We may also visit the workshops for the manufacture of green pottery as well as underground streets. Then we continue the trail through the grove and Ouled Brahim Reg Elfaija and continuation to M’hamid last Draa palm grove and the beginning of the desert sand. We reach the desert camp which is located a few km south of MHamid in the middle of sand dunes. We ride camels from the bivouac to enjoy the sunset in the desert. The night will be under a nomad tent.

 


 

Day 7: Mhamid– Foum Zguit – Taznakht – Ouarzazate

Our tour continues from M’hamid to Ouarzazate crossing the Irikki lake, a vast & flat surface of tamped sand. On the track in a landscape of stony Hamada Foum Zguit, we will lunch in the desert under a nomad tent. Then we take the road to Taznakht to reach Ouarzazate late afternoon where we will spend the night at the local Riad.

 

 

 


 

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Marrakech

To discover Ouarzazate is the program of the day. We will visit the cinema studios and Taourirt Kasbah. In addition, we drive to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Many famous movies were shot here: Astérix, The Mummy, Lawrence of Arabia. Then we will visit Kasbah. The tour continues via the Ounila valley towards the immense kasbah of Telouet. It was built in the 19th century and it was once a strategic position, which was a must for caravans connecting the sub-Saharan regions to the Mediterranean coast (visit the Kasbah). After, we continue through the Tizi N’ Tichka mountain pass (2260 m) to Marrakech where we stay in a local riad.

 


 

Day 9: Marrakech (Guided visit of the red city)

Finally today, we will explore the red city Marrakech. We will visit the best places in this town. We will explore Menara, the minaret of Koutoubia (the Twin tower of Giralda in Seville in Spain), the tombs of Saadian which are composed of the splendid mausoleums built in the 16th century, the gardens of Majorels. After lunch, we will explore the souk near the famous Jamaa Efna square.
