Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

The “8 Days Morocco Imperial cities desert tour” starts today from Casablanca. We’ll pick you up and take you to discover the city. The local guide takes you to visit the most important places such as the Hassan 2 mosque (the 3rd largest in the world), The Church of the Sacred Heart built in 1930. It looks like a Gothic cathedral and it has been used as a conference and exhibition center, the Mahkama Pasha building in Habous district, and Ain Diab beach. After we head to Rabat, the administered capital city of Morocco.

An English-speaking guide takes you to visit it. We will visit the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, the archeological and historical ensemble Shella door in the majestic medina, and the 12th-century Oudayas Kasbah the Kasbah Oudayas with its Andalusian. It also has beautiful views of the Bouregreg river. In addition, in the afternoon will be a free time to discover its new city. Dinner and overnight will be in Riad.


 

Day 2: Rabat– Meknes – Volubilis– Fez

First of all today, we drive towards Meknes, the city of one hundred minarets. It’s the imperial city that had great importance during the rule of Sultan Moulay Ismail (1672-1727). He put the capital of Morocco in Meknes and gave it its golden age by building his imperial palace, ramparts, and kasbahs. Today is dedicated to discovering Fes. We explore all the charms of the most cultural imperial city of Morocco. We will arrange the visit with a professional local guide. He takes you to visit all the wonders of the most ancient of the imperial cities and is world-famous for its leather and metalwork. The koranic school (Medersa Bouinania), the leather tanneries, Bab Boujloud, Leather tanners, Najjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts, “ElQarouine” the oldest university in the Arab world it was founded in 859. In addition, you can also browse some of its 9500 narrow streets. The walls of its medina are the largest intact medieval town in the world. Fes has become the first heritage site designated by UNESCO. The night will be in a Riad or hotel.

 

 


 

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane– Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

The private tour in Morocco continues to Ifrane. It’s a colonial alpine resort built by the French in 1929. Also, it is characterized by its alpine chalets, its gardens adorned. Day 5: Merzouga: desert 4X4 tour & camel trip

Your Sahara Morocco tour continues to explore the Merzouga desert. A camel trip waits for you to reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the highest one in Morocco. It’s an opportunity to visit a Berber family to have an idea about its lifestyle. We will also get to Khamlia village, where we listen to Gnawa music. A small stop may be an oasis of palm trees in the nearby area to have ideas about the Romain irrigation system” Khattarat”. The lunch will be at a local restaurant. Late afternoon, we will ride camels to reach the desert camp. You will spend this night in a luxury desert Sahara. An opportunity to enjoy Berber drum music. The fantastic sunset and sunrise on the dunes are most important in this journey. After traditional Moroccan dinner, we stay overnight in desert tents.

 


 

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges – Sekoura

After breakfast, we ride camels back to the hotel. You will have to depart by 4×4 towards Rissani. The oldest imperial city in Morocco and used in the past to serve as the last stop on the great caravan routes south. The visit of its historical monuments and markets is very important because it’s the economic center of the area. After, we drive to Todra Gorges, which is the most spectacular gorges of Morocco. You will have a walk under the high cliff and along the river. Then, we will head to Dades Gorges where we will enjoy the unique scenery. Our next stop will be Kelaat Mgouna, famous for its rose-derived products industry. Finally, we reach the palm grove of Sekoura. The dinner and overnight stay will be in a traditional hotel.

 

 


 

Day 7: Sekoura– Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Telouet kasbah – Marrakech

We will have a visit to the film studios where many famous movies were shot such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, the mummy… Then, we get to the site of the most well preserved and famous Kasbah in Morocco – Ait Benhaddou – Another world heritage UNESCO site since 1987. Then we head to Telouet kasbah. This town was once the main residence of the “Atlas Lord” Pacha El Glaoui. After the visit of the Kasbah, we descend the Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech. Dinner and overnight will be at a local riad in Marrakech.

 

 


 

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca
