Our excursion will depart at 8:00 AM towards Ait Benhaddou Kasbah which is about 175 km from Marrakech, We will discover its history and its importance during historical times. It’s a historic site declared by UNESCO World Heritage since 1987. It consists of houses built of mud and straw.
The Kasbah had great importance from the XIth century until the beginning of the XXth century, it was a place of stops of the caravans which come from Marrakech via Telouet and which are directed towards the North of the country. The Kasbah is a cinematographic site; it was the scene of many legendary films like Gladiator, the mummy, Lawrence of Arabia, etc… The guided tour with a local guide allows you to discover the details of its history and its importance. We will return to Marrakech at 6:00 PM.
