Day 1: Fez – Ifrane- Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga
We start our Morocco trip driving towards Erg Chebbi Merzouga dunes, crossing the Middle Atlas mountains. We will benefit from breathing the pure air that comes from the Cedar forests. In this area, we will have stops to take pictures in panoramic views. Then, we drive to the Ziz valley and palm groves of Tafilalet oasis where we will have lunch. After, we continue to Erfoud where we will visit the marble factory for fossil production. Our tour continues to the dunes in Merzouga for an overnight stay in the hotel near the highest dunes in Morocco.
Day 2: Merzouga
This stage enables you to benefit from splendid sunrise on the tops of the dunes when you return from the bivouac. After breakfast, you will take the tour of the dunes by 4×4, an opportunity to visit nomad tents and to have an idea about its lifestyle. Then, we continue to visit Khamliya; the village of sub-Saharan blacks origin (the Gnawa dance and music). After that, we may have a lake with the pink flamingos (SriJi lake) in the full black desert. The night will be under the Berber tent after making a camel trip.
Day 3: Merzouga – Todgha gorges – Dades valley
After breakfast and showers, we will have departed from Merzouga towards Dades Gorges. We pass by Rissani to have a small visit to its souk and historical monuments. Then, we continue to Arfoud to make a visit to its Marmar factory for the fossils manufacture. Our trip continues to reach Todgha Gorges in Tinghir where we may have a walk along the river. In the end, we arrive at Dades Gorges. Dinner and accommodation will be in an inn (an opportunity to benefit from the traditions of the Berber families.
Day 4: Dades valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Today, we drive to Marrakesh passing by Kelaat M’Gouna, the famous city of its pinks celebrated by the annual festival of the Pinks and the road of the Miles Kasbahs. We may see gum products extracted from roses. Our private tour continues to Sekoura Oasis where we will visit AMREDIL Kasbah. Then, we drive towards Ouarzazate to visit the cine studios and Taourirt Kasbah. After, we will have a stop in Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah: the site declared heritage world by UNESCO in 1987 Several films were turned much of films like The Mummy, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Astérix…At the end of the day, we arrive in Marrakesh. Dinner and overnight will be in a Riad near Jamaa Lafna square. It’s the end of your 4 Days Desert trip Fes to Marrakech.
