Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Rissani – Merzouga desert
After breakfast, your tour “7 Days Fes Essaouira Camel desert tour” starts from Fez towards Merzouga. you will visit the attractive city in the Middle Atlas region. It’s called the Switzerland of Morocco. After, you continue crossing the Cedar forests in Azrou. You stop to watch the monkeys in the middle of the forest. After, you continue to Errachidia via Midelt and Ziz valley. You reach Erfoud, the city famous for its fossils products and dates. After a small visit to the factory, you continue your tour to Rissani where we may visit the local souk. In the end, we continue to the Merzouga desert. Overnight will be at a local desert riad.
Day 2: Merzouga (Camel trip & night in luxury desert camp)
On this second day, the tour starts to explore the desert around the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will visit a nomad’s Berber family and Khamlia village. You will attend folkloric Gnawa music. Afterward, we will get to the Merzouga oasis of palm trees in the nearby area to see its irrigation system. Late afternoon, you will ride camels to the luxury desert camp where you will spend the night. It’s an opportunity to enjoy Berber drum music in the middle of the Sahara. You’ll also enjoy the sunset and sunrise on the dunes. After traditional Moroccan dinner, we stayed overnight in nomads’ tents.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra gorges – Dades gorges
Today, After assisting the beautiful sunset over the dunes, you will ride camels back to the hotel for a shower and breakfast. You will continue your tour to Rissani to visit the local souk and its historical monuments. On our road, we will pass a few Berber towns and villages to reach Todra gorges where you may enjoy hiking in this area. We continue to Dades gorges to enjoy the unique scenery in this area. The Overnight stay will be in a typical hotel.
Day 4: Dades gorges – Skoura – Ouarzazat
Today we start today our trip towards Skoura oasis where you will visit Amridil Kasbah. But before that, we will stop in Kelaa Mgouna city where you purchase local rose perfumes and gum products. After that, we head to Ouarzazate to visit Taourirt Kasbah and the movie studios. Several famous movies were shot there. The overnight stay will be in a local riad in Ouarzazate.
Day 5: Ouarzazate– Ait Benhaddou UNESCO site Kasbah – Marrakech
After breakfast, you will visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a very popular destination for tourists. You will visit the High Atlas Berber village called Telouet and its local Kasbah Glaoui. The lunch will be in a local restaurant. Then we descend the Tizi-N- Tichka mountains pass to Marrakech. Overnight there will be a local riad in the old medina.
Day 6: Marrakech (visit to the red city)
Your English guide starts the visit in old medina so see the most interesting places. You may visit Bahia palace, Bab Agnaou, the Saadian tombs and then Koutoubia mosque. You may visit the Ben Youssef Mederasa, the Majorelle Garden and Menara gardens. In the afternoon, You will spend time exploring the souk and the world’s famous Djemaa el Fna place. You will discover its various entertainments such as storytellers, snake-charmers, and acrobats. The overnight stay will be in the same Riad.
Day 7: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech
Today, you will visit Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. You will have an opportunity to see goats climbing the Argan trees. You will also visit the women’s cooperative of Argan oil. In Essaouira, you will have the opportunity to visit the old medina surrounded by ancient city walls and its local fishing port. In the evening, you will get back to Marrakech. it’s the end of your “7 Days Fes Essaouira Camel desert tour“.
