Day 1: Tangier – Blue city Chefchaouen – Fez

Today the 9 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech by the Sahara desert begins. The driver will pick you up from the port of Tangier. After a short break, you will leave for Chefchaouen. This city was founded by the Moorish and Portuguese. It is a secret and mysterious place. You will have an opportunity to explore the charm of this city. You will continue your way to Fez, the imperial city founded in the 8th century. It is also one of the first holy cities of Muslim culture and hosts one of the oldest universities in the world. Afternoon you will have free time to relax and have your first contact with the city. The night will be at your riad.


Day 2: Visit of the spiritual city of Fez

This day will be devoted to the discovery of the city. After breakfast, you will start your tour with a local official guide. You will visit the medina with its souks and markets. You will stop at the gates of the royal palace. You will also visit the 9th-century Karouine Mosque and the University. The visit will also consist of the tomb of the founder of the city “Moulay Idriss II”. Lunch will be in a traditional restaurant in the old Medina. After lunch, you will continue your visit to discover the Nejjarine fountain, the old harem garden, and the Batha Museum. The visit will end with a panoramic view of the whole city. Accommodation will be at your Riad.


Day 3: Fez – Merzouga

In the morning, you will head to the Atlas Mountains to explore cedar, juniper, and cork oak forests. This region is known for its abundant fauna which allows you to see many types of birds, wild boars, and Barbary apes. You will then continue south through the Middle Atlas where you can see the slopes dotted with tents and herds of goats of Berber nomads. Lunch will be in Midelt. After, you will continue by mountain roads overlooking the wide Oued Ziz. Along these routes, you will discover kasbahs and palm groves. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga on the outskirts of the desert. The night will be in an inn at the foot of the Erg Chebbi dunes.


Day 4: Around the dunes of Erg Chebbi in 4 × 4, the camel ride and night at the bivouac

You will start your tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi or visit the village of the southern Gnawas to listen to their music. They are from sub-Saharan Ghana and Sudan. you will also visit the deserted mines, the tents of the Berber nomads, and the oases of palm trees with their irrigation system of Roman origin. After lunch and a moment of relaxation, you will set off on the back of a camel to the bivouac in the middle of the sand dunes. This is a great opportunity to take beautiful sunset and sunrise photos over the dune hills.


Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate

After witnessing the sunrise, you return to your hotel. And after taking a shower and having a good breakfast, you will start your journey to Ouarzazate. Along the way, you will visit the Berber villages and kasbahs, the Todra gorges and the Dades valley. You will arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. In this city, you will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, the film studios, and the spice souk. The night will be at your hotel.


Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

You will leave Ouarzazate in the morning to make a stop at the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. You will visit this UNESCO site declared World Heritage in 1987. This famous 11th-century kasbah was the setting for more than 20 films including the famous Gladiator, the mummy, Lawrence of Arabia… After lunch, you will continue your trip to Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka pass to arrive at the end of the afternoon.


Day 7: Marrakech (exploration of the red city)

This day will be devoted to the guided tour to discover the many facets of Marrakech. You will take a walk in the labyrinth of alleys of the Medina. They are among the famous souks of Morocco. You will also explore the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech (Palis Bahia, Palis Badii …). The evening will be for the admiration of the spectacle of Jamaa lafna square. The night will be at your hotel.
